We then continued into Botswana by car to Chobe National Park where we spent 2 nights. Here we experienced a more traditional commercial safari where there were usually 6 other safari vehicles at the same animal sighting. We also met our amazing Hotel Manager and sometimes Guide, Ishmael, who was passionate about the environmental protection of his community and country.
So you might think “why are they wearing jackets in Africa” in the photo above, well to our surprise, Africa can get pretty cold in the winter season.
The elephants decided they wanted the same spot as the lions so they pretty much chased them away.
Then they wanted to start chasing the tourists away.
I didn’t know Baboons would eat meat like this…..kind of scary since they were surrounding our vehicle numerous times.
